Kill Tony episo
It’s Alex, Natalie, and Simon’s first day at Reconnaissance Personnel Global. While waiting for their half-an-hour-late boss, Doug, they meet their fourth colleague, Sid, whose corporate asshole attitude immediately rubs Alex the wrong way. Barely on the scene, Doug is informed that there has been an error with back office claiming he only had approval to hire three new recruits. To determine who goes home, the company VP sets the team on a race to see who can book the most in-office interviews by the end of day. Not wanting to leave the decision to fate, Alex sets in motion a plan that will save his friends and teach Sid a lesson once and for all.
The premiere is on Saturday October 18th at 8pm!
Sally Enitlov needs some excitement in her unsatisfying homemaker life. Fed up with daytime talk shows and doing aerobics, she sets out into the world to make something of herself.
Through a series of hilarious mishaps, she winds up becoming an exotic dancer at Club Utopia. The power she now has over men is intoxicating and her newfound confidence spills over into her home life. But something is amiss…
Meanwhile, her husband Alex, a handsome, wealthy securities dealer, has his own secrets. His late-night jaunts with a sexy co-worker combined with his extreme suspicious nature are taking a toll on his marriage and his conscience. Desperate to know what his wife is up to and to ensure his infidelities are kept under wraps, he enlists a seedy private detective to sort things out.
As all of these characters collide, hilarity ensues! A story filled with bizarre murder plots, unlikely co-conspirators, sex, lies and blackmail. There is never a dull moment at ClubUtopia!
In the astonishingly gripping Let the Fire Burn, director Jason Osder has crafted that rarest of cinematic objects: a found-footage film that unfurls with the tension of a great thriller. On May 13, 1985, a longtime feud between the city of Philadelphia and controversial radical urban group MOVE came to a deadly climax. By order of local authorities, police dropped military-grade explosives onto a MOVE-occupied rowhouse. TV cameras captured the conflagration that quickly escalated-and resulted in the tragic deaths of eleven people (including five children) and the destruction of 61 homes. It was only later discovered that authorities decided to "...let the fire burn." Using only archival news coverage and interviews, first-time filmmaker Osder has brought to life one of the most tumultuous and largely forgotten clashes between government and citizens in modern American history.
One Night only. Director will be in attendance!

synopsis- "German Town The Lost Story Of Seaford Town Jamaica" is a documentary that explores the history of German heritage within Westmoreland Jamaica.
Deep within the isolated undeveloped mountains of Westmoreland lies a village with a history and people unique to Jamaica.
It is said that the inhabitants of this village are descendants of German indentured servants who were used to work the Jamaican plantations after the emancipation period to substitute the slave labor that drove the islands economy.
Others think they came under different circumstances as runaway prisoners, former military battered after the Napoleonic wars seeking a better life to escape the poverty and hardships in their home lands. This documentary project explores the history and contemporary life of Jamaicans of German heritage.

A "brilliant exploration of violence and corruption in contemporary China" (Jon Frosch, The Atlantic), A TOUCH OF SIN was inspired by four shocking (and true) events that forced the world's fastest growing economy into a period of self-examination. Written and directed by master filmmaker Jia Zhangke (The World, Still Life), "one of the best and most important directors in the world" (Richard Brody, The New Yorker), this daring, poetic and grand-scale film focuses on four characters, each living in different provinces, who are driven to violent ends. An angry miner, enraged by widespread corruption in his village, decides to take justice into his own hands. A rootless migrant discovers the infinite possibilities of owning a firearm. A young receptionist, who dates a married man and works at a local sauna, is pushed beyond her limits by an abusive client. And a young factory worker goes from one discouraging job to the next, only to face increasingly degrading circumstances

LA Camioneta - Oct 4
100% on Rotten Tomatoes!!! And We have the Canadian Premiere!
Every day dozens of decommissioned school buses leave the United States on a southward migration that carries them to Guatemala, where they are repaired, repainted, and resurrected as the brightly-colored camionetas that bring the vast majority of Guatemalans to work each day. Since 2006, nearly 1,000 camioneta drivers and fare-collectors have been murdered for either refusing or being unable to pay the extortion money demanded by local Guatemalan gangs. LA CAMIONETA follows one such bus on its transformative journey: a journey between North and South, between life and death, and through an unfolding collection of moments, people, and places that serve to quietly remind us of the interconnected worlds in which we live.

The Last Pogo Jumps Again - Nov 1
The Last Pogo Jumps Again is a documentary about the punk/new-wave/alternative music scene in Toronto, from when The Ramones hit the stage of The New Yorker in 1976 to when the cops gave Teenage Head the boot at infamous The Last Pogo concert in 1978. Filmmakers Colin Brunton and Kire Paputts started the project in June 2006 and logged hundreds of hours of interviews, photos and film clips. Using the 1978 film The Last Pogo as a jumping-off point, the three hour and twenty movie explores the dynamics of what was arguably the most exciting cultural explosion in Toronto’s history. The Last Pogo (1978) is the documentary that chronicled the last punk rock show at the Horseshoe Tavern when it was run by legendary Toronto promoters The Garys (Topp and Cormier) featuring The Scenics, Cardboard Brains, The Secrets, The Mods, The Ugly, The Viletones and Teenage Head.
JUG FACE tells the story of a pregnant teen trying to escape a backwoods community when she discovers that she may be sacrificed to a mysterious pit. The entity in the pit requires a life for keeping the community safe. The face of the person to be sacrificed is crafted onto a ceramic jug. When ignored, the entity unleashes an evil onto the community. Now no one is safe as tragedy befalls each member one by one and they soon realize that the pit wants what it wants.
NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR was inspired by the legend of Stull, Kansas. Wendy (Anne Heche), her husband Dan (James Tupper of "Revenge") and their kids have just moved to the small town of Stull, Kansas, where Dan is the new pastor. But in this sleepy community of friendly neighbors, a horrific series of occurrences awaits them: Their teenage daughter (Rebekah Brandes of Bellflower) is being tormented by grisly visions. Her younger sister (Jennifer Stone of "Wizards Of Waverly Place") has been marked for a depraved ritual. And deep within the heartland darkness, one of The Seven Gates Of Hell demands the blood of the innocent to unleash the creatures of the damned. Ethan Peck ("10 Things I Hate About You") and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) co-star in this demonic shocker featuring original music by producer SLASH and inspired by the real-life paranormal legacy of Stull. NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR was written by Jonathon W.C. Mills and directed by Anthony Leonardi III. (c) Official Facebook

Former Kenyan Sponsor Child, and now U.N. human rights lawyer, Chris Mburu, who is featured in the film, will be in attendance for a Q&A.
When Hilde Back sponsored a young, rural Kenyan student, she thought nothing of it. She certainly never expected to hear from him, but years later she does. Now a Harvard graduate and a Human Rights Lawyer for the United Nations, Chris Mburu decides to find the stranger that changed his life. Inspired by her generosity, he starts a scholarship program of his own and names it for his former benefactor.
The top students in Mukubu primary school are in the exact same situation as Chris once was. They are bright, but can’t afford to pay school fees. With the creation of Chris’ fund, these students have new hope. But the program is small; how many will qualify for a scholarship?
Using a strong narrative, the film interweaves seemingly separate lives into a cohesive whole. With clarity and grace, A SMALL ACT, bears witness to the ripple effect a single action can create.

Upstream Color was one of the most talked-about films at this year's Sundance festival, writer-director Shane Carruth's long-awaited follow-up to his micro-budget 2004 time-travel thriller Primer is even more mindbending and boldly experimental than its celebrated predecessor. Kris (Amy Seimetz), a young office worker, is kidnapped and drugged by a thief, who implants her with a strange foreign body. Released and returned to her home and job, Kris discovers that the mysterious procedure to which she has been subjected has rendered her intensely sensitive to the unceasing rhythms of the natural world: sounds, colours, even microscopic biological processes envelop her in a constant sensory wave, rendering her virtually incapable of functioning in her everyday life. She soon meets a former stockbroker named Jeff (played by Carruth), whose own speedily derailing life indicates that he might have been a victim of the same operation. Guided by passages from Thoreau's Walden, the couple set out to unravel the mystery of their inexplicable condition. Part speculative sci-fi, part romantic thriller, Upstream Color will rank as one of the most provocative and daring American independent films of the year. From our friends at tiff.net
From the makers of The Last Exorcism comes a boldly original vision of horror - THE FRANKENSTEIN THEORY. What if the most chilling novel of all time was actually based on a true account of a horrific experiment gone awry? When he is suspended from his university job for his outlandish ideas, Professor John Venkenheim leads a documentary film crew to the rim of the Arctic Circle in a desperate effort to vindicate his academic reputation. His theory: Mary Shelley's ghastly story, Frankenstein, is, in fact, a work of non-fiction disguised as fantasy. In the vast, frozen wilderness, Venkenheim and his team search for the legendary monster, a creature mired in mystery and drenched in blood. What they find is an unspeakable truth more terrifying than any fiction...a nightmare from which there is no waking.
